21.- 23.8. 2026 Danube and Duodanube Bratislava

I haven’t normally attended this August dog show for a few years now. It is always extremely hot there, and the Irish Wolfhound ring is always located right on the racetrack, where there isn’t a single tree or a scrap of shade.
This year, Jaws’ owner talked me into it—he had never been there and wanted to see what the racecourse venue looked like…
Since Jaws was going, I decided to bring Janis along too. Fortunately, the weather showed us some mercy this year. Even though a supercell storm swept through Bratislava the day before the show, leaving the racecourse grounds looking hopeless on Thursday evening, I have to take my hat off to the organizers. By Friday morning, the area was perfectly prepared, and the temperatures weren’t as crazy as in previous years.
Both Jaws and Janis competed in the Champion Class and showed very well.
