Our big blond teddy bear may not live with us permanently, but he still feels very much like “ours.” His name was chosen by his owner, Ivan Dvořák, a great fan of the movie Jaws and of surfing—so when the puppy’s name had to begin with “J,” the choice was obvious.
Jaws is the definition of an easy-going character. At home he shares his life happily with an adult Ridgeback and now even a little Chihuahua. Proving himself to be a gentle and loving big brother. He often joins me at dog shows, and sometimes on group walks, since he doesn’t live far away. He always looks forward to visiting us for grooming—it feels like coming home to him. As he was born here. During his holidays with us, he and Varden became the best of friends and constant playmates.
With his calm and friendly temperament, Jaws gets along beautifully with both animals and people. He greets everyone warmly and enjoys being in the show ring with us—unlike his owner, who isn’t the biggest fan of exhibitions but always manages to support us, for which I am truly grateful. For that reason, Jaws doesn’t attend too many shows, but he shines whenever he does.
