On May 16th and 17th, 2026, the traditional international dog show, Novohrad Dog Show, took place in Lučenec—and as usual, in rainy weather. In my opinion, it wouldn’t even count without it.
On Saturday, we completed the show in full with both Koda and Janis. Both were in the intermediate class.

On Sunday, Zuzka and Koda had to manage without me. Janis started having health issues during the night, so instead of heading to the dog show in the morning, we rushed to the veterinary clinic. Fortunately, Janis “only” had severe gastritis, and Zuzka managed brilliantly with Koda.

Summary: Aside from my car breaking down again, everything turned out well in the end and we made it home safely. The scare of gastric torsion (bloat) was massive, and a huge weight was lifted off my chest when it turned out to be just gastritis.
